in Loen in Nordfjord you can find all the treassures and sight you expect to find in Norway in one area. The steep peaks are more than 1600 meters high, the Loen sea is filled with trouts, agriculture, fruit, the Briksdal glacier, hunter´s terrain.....and a nature that takes your breath away wherever you are. 2 rockfalls killed all the inhabitants many years ago....when will the next fall kill again?

Hamningberg is a depopulated fishermans village, 46 km west of Vardø.All houses are still standing, abandoned, but in very good shape and used as summerhuts. The most interesting and fascinating cartrips I´ve ever made. The landscape is more than exciting, and you have to travel to Spitzbergen to find similar mountains. Visit the place, I highly recommend it!

This is a copy of a picture I got a glimpse of in the window of an artist dealer in Cologne some years ago. What I remembered best was the expression in the man´s eyes, and I wondered what the lady by his side said....or did I really?.
